Immortality has a price.
Gertraud Ingeborg stars in this one woman show that tells the true story of ballet legend, lover and woman, Marie Taglioni.
As the volatile young star crashes the 19th-century ballet scene, she revolutionises the artform by dancing 'en pointe' – leaving the competition in her wake.
Set in the twilight of her life, this production looks back on the life Taglioni lived and the choices she made along the way.
It is the story of a woman who finds her own voice, rising from adversity, rivalries, unspoken feelings, manipulation, rumours and lies. As the pivotal factor in women taking over ballet from men, her superstar status changes the face of ballet forever.
