"This is Ladyland, free from sin and harm. Virtue herself reigns here." – 'Sultana's Dream'

Physical theatre ensemble, Clockfire Theatre Company bring to life a tale based on ‘Sultana’s Dream’ – the visionary tale of Bengali writer, feminist and social activist Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain.

This is the story of one woman’s encounter with sage and intriguing visionaries, the conviction that comes from knowing oneself, and a mythological battle to re-write the future of the world.

In ‘Sultana’s Dream and the Meeting of a Number of Wise Women’, this all female cast explores the capacity of the female collective conscience and the depth of our dreams.
